In August 2016 two strangers from Tinder went for a run at Seurasaari – and now these two strangers are getting married. Please join us in July to celebrate the start of a life-long run together. It's going to be a fun day! Read more below.

Villa Smeds is a 150-year-old horse farm at Vantaanlaakso north of Helsinki. The wedding location is on a shed loft and it is surrounded by a large yard. When you look out over the fields, it feels as if you're far away from the metropolitan area.
Your company is our best wedding gift. Should you, however, wish to offer us a gift, you can contribute to our honeymoon. The number of our wedding gift account is:

Elina
Bridesmaid
The tradition of throwing a wedding bouquet predicts who among the guests will be the next one to marry. When Elina tossed her wedding bouquet in 2018, it landed right on Iina, who indeed is getting married now. A coincidence? Someone might say that this whole wedding is thanks to Elina.
Elina and Iina first met as early as at kindergarten, but their journey together really got under way from their mutual musical hobby – the rehearsal room in Karstula echoed of the unforgettable hits of Apulanta and Avril Lavigne from the early 2000’s. With a little luck we might even get to hear the beautiful singing of this bridesmaid at the wedding.
Emmi
Bridesmaid
Emmi and Iina got to know each other in 2004, when Iina asked on the Irc gallery if Emmi could send her the music video of Simple Plan’s legendary song, I’m just a kid, because believe it or not: Youtube didn’t yet exist at the time (yes, we’re that old).
When the two got acquainted, they lived far apart in Finland, but life has taken them both via London to Helsinki and via the University of Helsinki to the same workplace. After having rummaged through London together, dwelt in Meilahti pubs with college math exercises and solved tricky programming problems as workmates, it must be easy to arrange a wedding.
Milla
Bridesmaid
Milla and Iina met when Iina hade just moved to Helsinki, through Iina’s new student friends at a house party in the Kaivoksela suburb. Thereafter they have experienced various joint adventures – Easter egg hunts, nineties festivals, singing lessons, airshows and above all memorable cottage trips together.
Milla is the maestro of event organising in Helsinki. When Milla is involved, you can be sure of a successful party. Since 2016, Milla has had a list on her phone of what the bride wishes to do at the hen party – she probably knows these things better than the bride herself.
Oona
Bridesmaid
Oona and Iina first saw each other in 1992, when Oona came home from the maternity hospital and the bride’s blissful days as the family’s only child were over. Besides Sorvarism, Oona and Iina are connected by the Au pair series on Finnish TV, trekking in national parks in various parts of Finland and watching horror movies.
While the bride’s top sports achievement is a silver medal from the cross-country skiing competition of the 2nd grade at Karstula primary school, this other Sorvari is a Finnish volleyball champion. So you can only guess who owns the athletic genes in the Sorvari family. Besides being a volleyball champion, this multitalented bridesmaid makes the best cakes and beers in the Helsinki area. Let’s see if we have the chance to taste the brew of the bridesmaid at the wedding.
Kenneth
Bestman
Kenneth has been a support to Thomas ever since he was 7 minutes old – he has in fact a full 7 minutes more of life experience and wisdom than his twin brother.
Kenneth is so skilful in many areas that it is hard to tell what his superpower is on the wedding team. Is it perhaps that this smooth operator sees no problem in being a toastmaster in three different languages at the wedding? Or that this Master of Geography and GIS expert no doubt can navigate all guests to the wedding site?
Anders
"Priest"
Straight from the District Court of Itä-Uusimaa – Anders! The bride and groom are very lucky to have one of the first childhood friends and a regular gym mate of Thomas as their wedding officiant. In addition to being a Master of Laws with court training, Anders is also a personal trainer. So if needed, he can arrange pause exercises during the wedding event.
